I have a clone desktop with a modem, and a Toshiba Satellite notebook with a
modem and an Integrated Intel 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet LAN adapter with RJ45
port. Could you give me instructions as to what hardware/software to buy and
how to connect/configure so that both computers can go over our one phone line
to AOL at the same time? We use a dialup connection. And/or tell me about a
website that gives the information I'm looking for. Thanks.

Depends on your O/S. For example, in 98 look for "ICS" (Internet Connection
Sharing) which is designed for just that purpose. I'm sure the later O/S's do
something similar, but I migrated to ADSL from 98 dialup.
