I have my FAX machine connected in line with my PC. It has been connected
this way for years with no unusual behavior. Recently it has began to Beep,
then pumps out a sample blank quarter-page (like the one it puts out when
the innards are opened-then-closed when replacing paper-roll.)

I tried to pinpoint a specific circumstance, such as receiving email, as a
cause but have not found anything that correlates to it. It occurs when I am
online, and seemingly at random.

Any ideas why and what to do about it?
