I am running a system with a NIC which uses the CS8900a in 8-bit I/O
mode. I'm sending dummy packets to it by way of a network sniffer that
I have. It seems that the 8900 buffers a maximum of 3 packets, then I
start loosing them (FIFO style). This is independent of packet size.
So if I send 4 64b packets or 4 512b packets, I always lose the first
one sent, and can only read back the last 3 packets I sent. With a 4kb
buffer I should be okay, no?

Any thoughts? Cirrus tech-support is not very responsive...
