Cannot dial an email address?

When I plug an email address into the address bar and clip Place Call I get
a window that says:

Netmeeting could not find the name of the person you are trying to call on
the directory server. Check to make sure the address is correct, or change
the address type in the Using Box?


In the Using Box I have tried Augtomatic, Network and Directory all with the
same results? I am always to the internet all the time via Optonline Cable
connection.

Any help please.

You can call another person using only email address if both you and him/her
are using the same directory server. Otherwise, you'll have to type in the
directory server:

ils.server.com/email@address.com
