I need a list of directories. |

Can somebody help me? I'm new to netmeeting and I'm tring to connect to a
directory but I don't know the names of any directories. Is there a list of
them or is there one that is the most popular?

http://www.netmeetinghq.com maintains a list ILS servers. Many users though
do not use ILS servers (the are often filled with sexual content).

Thanks for your help. If most users don't use ils servers, how do they
connect? Do they know the other person's ip address? Do they usually know
the person they're speaking to? I'm trying to find people to connect to
(basically to test my equipment) but I don't want all the sexual content.
Is there a non sexual ils?

Yes ( often they exchange IP addresses just before the call).

Unfortunately the design of the ILS and NetMeeting and human nature seems
to force all public ILS to have sexual content quickly.

You can get your buddy to sign in at www.fresh-toast.net to make the
call : If you prefer, you can send an invite which adds them to your
'buddy list', people on your buddy list can meet in your private room.
But to be honest there's so little traffic on site that you've
probably nothing to worry about ;-) The site just does the IP lookup
for both of you, and lists your name as a clickable link on screen. It
might be slightly simpler to use than an ILS.
