Norton fire wall shows me this:

Event Details:
Time: 1/24/2005 7:18:29 PM
Actor: C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe (PID=3036)
Target: C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\LIVEUP~1\LUCOMS~2.EXE
Action: Unauthorized access
Reaction: Unauthorized access stopped

but is unclear as to what it means ....

It means it blocked the Symantec Live Update module from connecting to the
net. That is the program Symantec uses to update their software
(Anti-Virus, Firewall, etc.)

Such access will be blocked by default until you change the settings to
allow it.

It appears you didn't pay the subscription and they stopped your service.
