This the XP SP2 firewall?
The easiest thing to do is just make Netmeeting an exception.
The only port used by Netmeeting for data transmission is tcp 1503 -- I am
not sure what ports you are specifying.
But the call does not reached the other person... I have " The other part
did not accept your call"
I suspect that the problem is at the other end then -- to make a data only
outgoing call should require no firewall configuration.
How are you making this call ( direct via IP? -- how and when is the IP
determined). Is the other party behind a router or border firewall of some
kind? Is there software firewall if in use correctly configured?
Is it possible to use NetMeeting with Win XP firewall or not ? or is it just
a configuration problem ?
It is possible to use NM with either the SP2 or earlier XP firewall
enabled. As I said I suspect it is not a firewall problem ( at least not
at the the calling end).
