I am told that if you have Windows XP, and NetMeeting is NOT already installed on your computer, that it is impossible to download it from Microsofts NetMeeting page. Is that true?

Thanks,

Correct.

Go to your Start menu, choose the menu item 'Run'. In the box which
comes up, type this in :

conf.exe

That will start netmeeting config wizard, and it should add a
netmeeting icon to your system tray and desktop or menu bar.

On that point Neal: Why did MS remove it from the menus? Is Netmeeting going
away? To be replaced by MSIM?

Thanks.

Microsoft has announced NetMeeting's retirement. It will not be included in
future O/S's

There is no direct "replacement". Msn Messenger, Office Communicator (I
think that is the future name of Windows Messenger) and LiveMeeting are
what Microsoft is touting as future products in the same arena.
