Windows 2000 Professional on all machines
NetMeeting Version 3.01

Hi,

I have a need to have a recurring NetMeeting with two remote colleagues.
All three of us are using headsets with boom mics.

If I connect to colleague A, we can both hear each other fine. If I connect
to colleague B, we can both hear each other fine. Same if they initiate the
connection to me. So, no problem with equipment or configuration.

However, when the third colleague connects, he can neither hear nor be
heard. Whoever is first in gets audio; the next person does not.

I've tried both "normal" NetMeeting, as well as Call --> Host Meeting (no
other options selected in the host meeting dialogue).

FWIW, it's within a corporate intranet, but I would think any networking
issues, port blocking, etc. would be tested by the individual connections.

Any thoughts???

Thanks,
Scott

NetMeeting alone, by design, supports one to one audio/video (working as
you determined) and multiparty data calls.

NetMeeting can participate in a multiparty audio/video call supported by an
H.323 MCU/conference server. The number of products available that provide
this service has dwindled as NetMeeting use and support has declined.

I believe OpenMCU (http://www.openh323.org) now currently only supports
multiparty audio(that may have changed though so it might be worth checking
out). There are no current Microsoft products with H.323 MCU capability
(the least was an add on for Exchange 2000. There might still be some
turnkey H.323 MCUs for sale but I haven't investigated lately.

As I said what you are seeing is normal.
