QoS [was : trouble with xp sp2] |

|
I've done some tests with netmmeting by a dial-up
connection and I want to complete (and correct) what I've
said about netmeeting, windows xp and QoS :
- netmmeting works well when the link to "QoS packet
scheduler" are removed (by uninstalling it for all
connections)in the connections properties of the two
computers. For the computers under xp sp2, it's necessary
to do it.
- even if the link to "QoS packet scheduler" are removed
in the connections properties of the computers, the audio
doesn't work in netmeeting if the "QoS RSVP" service is
disabled. I said in a preceding post that Qos RSVP service
didn't start but it's false. QoS RSVP service doesn't
start when the network connection betwin the two computers
is established but it starts when the netmeeting
connection is established.
In concusion I think that : "QoS packet scheduler" links
are unnecessary or harmful, "QoS RSVP" service is
necessary. |
