USB Hub problem |
|
|
I would appreciate any help with the following; I have recently purchased a
Belkin HI speed USB 2. Pocket Hub (F5u217), and have a USB mouse, and my BT
Voyager ADSL modem attached, which works ok.
However when I reboot or start the PC, the PC hangs, and I cannot get to the
desktop, however if I close down the PC, take out the USB hub, removing also
all of the USB items which I have connected, reboot the PC then connect all
of the USB items, the PC picks up the Hub and all of the items attached and
they all work.
The PC uses Windows XP.
I would appreciate any help with the above.

Is the pocket hub self-powered(ac adapter)or using the USB port for power ? |

I'd bet it's using the usb port for power. That's why it hangs on start
up - to much power being drawn during bootup. |
