Re: Site manager old version |

v9.x would correspond to SM v3.x under the old numbering scheme in
which the Site Manager version was six less than the corresponding
BayRS version. I cannot recall how far forward the v9.x MIBs were
carried in more recent versions (11.x is the furthest back they go
in any recent version).
The oldest version available (with unchallenged access) is
SM v5.03r9 (for BayRS v11.03r9):
ftp://ftp-support.baynetworks.com/pub/apps/sm/windows/SM503R9.exe
Try that. If you install it on a machine running anything
later than Win95, you need to do a trick, related to internal
changes in the Windows OS; copy the file "setup.exe" to a
second location, rename the copy "smsetup.exe", move it back
to the original setup directory, and run that copy instead
of setup. (Even then it is very unlikely to run properly on XP).
If this version does not work, let me know (p tichy no spam
at nortel networks dot com) and I will set up an ftp drop for
you for a suitable version, assuming I can reach you directly
at the reply address.

I have a several old ANH 8 MB (late 1996). I think they are
at 9.xx soft level. I don't have and can't seem to get from
Nortel an old enough version of site manager in order to
change their configuration. Anyone has a version of SM that
might work with my ANH's?
