I installed W2k sucessfully + some features. Everything worked fast
and was steable. Then I decided to setup QuickCam 5.0 from the
official Logitech CD: here came the troubles. I was asked to prepare
the Windows CD because of missing stuff for Windows. That's what I did
and pressed the "CONTINUE" button but unfortunately this had no
effect... The setup was frozen and I finally had to switched my PC
Off.

When Windows 2000 restarted: everything got unsteable and very (very)
slow... The processor activity is said to work at 100% according to my
Task Manager. I can't connect to internet anymore ;-( I intended to
properly uninstall QuickCam software from Logitech but the "unist.isu"
file was said to be unusable. I unistall it myself but my OS is
unfortunately still "handicaped". Although my USB webcam runs fine on
Win98 ? What should I do to restore its initial performing behaviour ?
how to solve such a problem ?

Sorry - can't offer advice because the installation could have done so many
unknown things. Best advice - use norton ghost or drive Image or some other
program and get a copy of the whole of the main drive in the future after
you reinstall everything. In effect, that seems to me to be the way to go!
Once you get your image of the drive put it away somewhere for such an
occasion as this. Then it's easy to retreive everything from the moment you
first took the image. Another important point is the find the place where
you save your emails and do regular backups of them so you can re-install
those particular emails when you put the image back on the main
drive........
