Does anyone have experience with Netmeeting working through a pair of
Linksys or Netgear routers at either end of two broadband connections?
I imagine they are probably the same, but just in case, I wanted to
know if one works and one doesn't, both work, or neither with
Netmeeting.

I have not purchased one yet. Assume I would be willing to use the
port forwarding features of the router - not place my PC within their
fake DMZ mode exposed to the Internet.

Thank you,
Bob

Likely neither will support NetMeeting audio/video calls (in or out)
without using the DMZ.

Older models of Linksys routers(like the veneralble befsr41 and the same
era wireless b router -- forget the model) with appropriate firmware do
support H.323 proxying (which would at least allow outgoing calls with no
dmz or port forwarding -- and usually incoming calls with port forwarding
only tcp 1503 and 1720). I am not sure about Netgear's older products.

Most modern routers from any company do *not* have H.323 support and
therefore require the sure of dmz for NetMeeting audio/video call support.
