I can't get ADSL in my area. I'd like to use video conferencing and I have 3
options for Net access:
1. Dual channel ISDN (128k bandwidth)
2. 2-way satellite Internet (512k downlink 128k uplink - some latency)
3. 1-way satellite Internet (400k downlink ISDN uplink - some latency)
What sort of performance can I expect with video conferencing software (such
as NetMeeting or iChatAV) using these links to the Net? I'm interested in
knowing about frames per second, resolution and audio quality (also if there
might be any stutters, drop-outs etc.).
Does anyone have any experience doing conferencing between Australia and UK
using the Internet? Are there any bottlenecks in the routes taken by IP
packets between the 2 countries?
