Video Conferencing Server |
|
|
Hi,
I was wondering if there are any free video conferencing server
applications out there or maybe trial versions which are 30days or
more? Purpose is i want to host the server on my computer and let 2-5
other people connect and video conference with me through a webpage
link. I've tried using activex to embed netmeeting but it seems more a
client side application (everytime they open the webpage link, they
had to download netmeeting from my computer). Tried using flash
communication server but could not understand how to setup everything.
Was amazed with SmileTiger Presentation Server, they even generated a
page so that other people could login to my computer as long they knew
my ip but unfortunatly the license expired (7 days) Appreciate if
anyone could give me some suggestions. |

Hi Sylvester,
There's a problem with the registration page on www.ezenia.com. Once i
submit the completed form in order to download Encounter 1000
NetServer the next page shows an error.

www.fresh-toast.net is free and saves you the bother of handling
Netmeeting, as it also offers cuseeme, intel video phone, portrait and
gnomemeeting client access.
Cheers - Neil.

You may not realise (its not obvious) but Fresh-Toast allows you to
set up user-private (invitation only) conference area.
To do this : Click your email icon on screen, then use the form to
send an invite to your chosen victim ;-)
The email will contain a link which allows them to register, and they
will then be added to your buddy list.
When you agree to them being on your buddy list, they can visit your
page from *their* buddy list once logged in. This assumes you're
online & logged in to the site at the time, of course.
Cheers - Neil.

Try http://www.camfrog.com and download "Camfrog Server" which allows up to
50 people to join.
The users must download the free Camfrog software to connect, but you can
make a link on the webpage which connects Camfrog.
