Beginner Video Conference System |
|
|
Hi,
I'm looking advice on an inexpensive "intro to video conferencing"
system for my client. They want to put something inexpensive in place
to see if video conferencing will even fit into their office culture,
before spending a lot of money.
We are looking at conferencing between an office in LA and an office
in NY connected over the Internet via a hardware based VPN. The LA
office has a 1.5/384 DSL connection and the NY office has a T1.
The only thing I've found in their price range ($300 and under per
office) is the Dlink DVC-1000. Is this system good enough for what
they are trying to do? Any other suggestions? I'm in LA and will have
to preconfigure the NY equipment and send it out, so I'd like
something that can be plug and play once I've done my work.
Thanks. |
