Does the Campho videophone adapter for Gameboy Advance work with
Gameboy Advance SP with the cartridge slot located on the opposite
side of the device?
I wonder if it is compatible with the European telephone service.
Anyway, it is offered by Lik Sang:

Campho Advance turns your Gameboy Advance into a Nintendo licensed
Videophone
Tue Sep 16 2003 12:22:11 Hong Kong Time - GameBoy
The Japanese company Digital Act announced a new Nintendo licensed
videophone peripheral called Campho Advance for GameBoy Advance.
The Campho Advance turns the system into a videophone. It plugs into
the cartridge slot of the GBA, and you can make calls over the phone
line. If the person on the other side of the phone call also has a
Campho Advance, the GBA will display live video along with the call.
The other side of the line will be in the center of the screen, while
the caller's own image will be displayed on the lower corner.
A built-in digital camera can take images of the caller in 7-10 frames
a second, 110,000 pixels; and display images of the other party on
screen.
Campho Advance will be released only in Japan in mid-December and is
available on pre-order for US$ 129 through Lik-Sang.com. It's using
standard analogue phone lines, it's working world wide if you are able
to figure out how it works due to the Japanese manual. It requires no
Internet service provider. A broadband version of Campho Advance is
also in the works. |
