Looking for reference design |

Request: development board / reference design for dedicated
videoconference terminal.
The terminal will be a dedicated system, not e.g. a desktop PC that is
also used for other office jobs. An embedded system is required.
This terminal is a concept created by a customer of ours, and our job
will be to make it economically priced and production ready.
We do system integration, production tests/preparation/management.
The terminal will have some specific design properties that sets its
aside from other products with similar specifications, for this reason
exsisting products cannot be used.
What we basically seek is preferably a reference design of a printed
circuit board delivering the functions requested below, along with
some SW support (customization of user I/F).
Assembling the complete product, adding cabinet; camera etc. will be
our job. A development platform may be a step in the design process.
Date of completion would be expected around Q1, which nessecitates te
use of existing technology rather than a new design from the ground
up.
The combination of H232 and H320 on a singe board solution seems to be
hard to find.
Requirements:
H323 / H320 / H263 / H263+ / H264
CIF @ 25 / 30 fps (4CIF optional)
Ethernet 1..2 mbit/s
ISDN bonding 384 Kbit/s 3 BRI (minimal requirement)
Data sharing
Far end camera control (PTZ)
preferrably 2 video inputs (doc cam)
User I/F trough OSD (remote control)
Approx. available PCB volume: 165 x 145 x 20 mm, inside a desktop
device. (not including the power supply)
Nice Extra's:
- Addition of 2 x Compact flash connector
- DHCP
- Gatekeeper - must be interoperable with other brands like Tandberg,
Polycom etc.
- SNMP
- G722.1 (14 KHz audio codec)
- Can Video in / out to be switched from NTSC-PAL on the fly in the
same product (without SW / HW changes)
- H450
- Possible Cryption, what level?
- E164 adressing
- Remote firmware update
Please indicate if you are willing to participate in this venture;
NDA's can be exchanged if so desired.
Thanks in advance!
