Dear Net,

I recently installed a Trendnet TFM-PCIV92I voice modem which uses the
Intel537EP on my Fedora Core 3 Linux box. The documentation that came
with the modem was pretty limited. I am using the
intel-537EP_secure-2.60.80.1 reference driver from Intel. This seems
to be working OK but I am using this as a voice modem with vgetty and
it isn't autodetected. I want to create a new definitions file for it
but I don't have the 537EP supported AT Command Set and the Intel
driver is based on a proprietary binary core library.

I can exercise it with minicom and vm but I don't know all the
supported voice commands and their ranges. I have been hunting around
with minicom using the Connexant and Cirrus AT Command Reference
manuals with trial and error with some success but definitive
documentation would be nice. Does anyone out there have a copy of the
537EP data sheet? I'm assuming that this will spell out all of the
supported commands unless they are all defined in the driver in which
case I'm OOL.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Thanks, Franc. There are some minor differences between the default
values that show up in minicom when talking directly to the 537EP and
the ones in the 536EX manual. I wonder how different the voice
portion is different between the two chips.

It looks like the modem should operate as a generic IS-101 type voice
modem in vgetty. I'll have to trick the detect routines to convince
it.

Thanks again,

Mark
