BayStack 28115 error 97

Postby Tommy J. » Sat Jan 22, 2005 10:50 am

I recently dug out my 28115 switch in my apartment for use with my home network. During its initialization sequence I get an ER97 on the display. It then proceeds to try and restart itself with the same outcome. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on the cause and hopefully a solution. I had been configuring it from the front display panel but it won't let me adjust the settings unless it is operational. I've ordered the parts to connect to the service port and they will be here in a few days. I would greatly appreciate any tips. Thanks in advance for your help.

Fixed !

I managed to fix it. It wasn't a setting type of problem at all. Must have been a little dusty. I cracked it open and pulled all the boards out. Cleaned up the conections a bit and it works mint again. Thanks to anyone who pondered over this.
