Warning and Help |

Warning and help ! ( I hope this is right forum )
I've got some "serarch for … " (some kind of simple search portal
with very hard promotion for spyware analyze programs ). This site
with its functions is more like virus on IE… This despite my allways
upp to date virusprotection and Firewall.
Funtion:
As IE start page opens "Search for…" even if in
IE/Tools/Options/General/address is about:blank. Once you open IE, the
popup protection do not protect You and You become popupps from adr.
vv1.s1.topx.cc. . My virusprotection recognised folowing files
codepro81].tml, connect[1].htm gdnCH1463[1].exe and sqlbdfn.dll
as infected Quarantined them. But the problem is allways there… This
problem I have just only with opened IE, Mozilla Firefox has not this
problem.
Please is there someone who knows this probelm and can help me ! |

I would say that this isnt the right newsgroup for your problem,
however, my advice would be to run Spybot Search and Destroy. Google
that name, it will be one of the first hits to downoad it. Also, install
Windows XP SP2.

2) Install:

SpywareBlaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
Cwshredder http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html
3) Get a good HOSTS file http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/
4) Dump Internet Explorer and use a more secure browser such as Mozilla
or Mozilla Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/
