We're thinking of using X-header to add addtional information to emails
sent from our web application. Currently our WatchGuard is configured
to strip all unknown X-headers from incoming emails. What are the
security implications of removing this filter and allowing adhoc
X-headers into our mail systems?

A further question, how likely is it that other organisations firewalls
or mail servers would reject an email with non-standard X-headers?
Thanks in advance
Stevie
