Spybot gives corruption message hwen clicking on Update. |

On some peoples PC I would install AdAware and then install Spybot
(notin safe mode). Most of these people had Win XP, SP2. I noticed that
after I installed Spybot (latest versions and some prior) that if I
click to Look for Updates, I receive a message similar to "Update is
corrupted, please get Updater". Something like that. I can never get by
this error on a persons machine who indeed does have Internet access,
no proxy needed etc... So I have to give up on using Spybot on that
machine.
Any ideas appreciated.
Even downloaded and installed the update files and still no luck with
the update function.
I do not know how to install a separate "updater component" that it
asks for.
Still get error if I install scripting engine in XP and reinstall
Spybot.
