SmartNet account |
|
|
We're looking into getting a SmartNet account to cover our equipment....
Basically, we have 5 PIX 501's, 1 PIX 515E, 1 3620 router, and one 3005 VPN
concentrator.
Does anyone have an idea how much basic coverage (IOS updates, tech support)
would cost per year? I've emailed Cisco, but as of yet, no response. There
isn't much info on their page either. I can see they're just trying to get
you to call....But I'd like to have an idea beforehand....
Thanks

Depending on response time, (ie. NBD, 4hr, 2hr), or onsite options,
the basic Smartnet 8x5xNBD would be running you between about $150 and $1000
a year list price for each of those devices.
For that size account, they'd probably refer you to a reseller anyway. |

If you have a CCO account you can log on to the SCC (Support Contract
Centre) http://www.cisco.com/go/scc then there is a Pricing tool which
will give you pricing without human intervention.
Google for prices or plug the part numbers in to your favourite online store.
Sample prices from insight.ca:
CON-SNT-PIX501 $C 248
CON-SNT-PIX515ER $C 730
CON-SNT-3620 $C 1041
CON-SNT-VPN3005 $C 417
