I might have been living in a cave the last few years; MSN's Messenger
has been brought to my attention. Is it the heir apparent to
Netmeeting?

If so...

Where can I find the SDK for it, I'd like to incorporate it into a web
page.

Any information gladly accepted.

Happy New Year

Sort of. NetMeeting is being "replaced" by a host of other
products/services including Msn/Windows Messenger, LiveMeeting, Live
Communications Server.

There is no SDK available ( at least not like the NetMeeting SDK).

You might also try:

microsoft.public.msn.messenger

or

microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger

Hi Brian:

Thanks for getting back to me. Quick question, all things considered,
would you implement a "Netmeeting" page on a Website. Or has the
(technology) boast sailed, so to speak?

Happy New Year!

I am not sure what you mean by a "NetMeeting" page.

If you mean a page to initiate a call to somebody ( a la
http://www.meetingbywire.com/V3ContactCenter.htm ) that would depend a lot
on how much effort you need to put into it and what was gained. If you were
looking to generate some buzz -- I think that ship has sailed. NetMeeting
though is still shipped on all current Windows O/S's so under some
circumstances it might be worth the effort.
