I support users who end up all over the globe in remote areas with various types of data connectivity back to the states. (We're talking antenna tied to a tree for satelite connectivty if the Monkeys don't rip it down type remote locations) Skype has worked fairly well for them. Ip Communicator coming back to the states to a Callamanger has not worked very well at all. Tracert shows about 2,000 msecs of delay back to our main site. We're trying to cut costs while provining reliable voice communications. Satelite phones tend to not work in some areas due to the LEO satelites not connecting well 24X7. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I say stick with Skype. You said it was working fairly well. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
