Can anyone help with this problem ???
Send and Recieve on almost all Pc's on the network is constantly busy .
7 pc win xp & 1 pc win 98 connect to 4 port Adsl Router DHCP Gateway.
DHCP sets up all internal IP addresses.
It is slowing all the Pc's down.

Why don' you load up Ethereal on one of them and see what the traffic is?

How do you know it's slowing the PC's down?

Windows is very talkative on a network which makes for a lot of traffic.
Make sure that only the services that are needed are running and that will
help.

The machines and their O/S are doing discoveries of each other on the

network and they are sending traffic back and forth to each other while
they do it.

You can use Ethereal a free packet sniffer on the machines to see the
traffic leaving the machines.

Now if the network is really slow, you could have malware on the
machines too that you may need to sort out.

Why don't you connect your PC's to a switch and it then to your router.
