using the pix console connection |
|
|
I have a cisco pix 501 that i know absolutely nothing about.
I try to connect using the console cable in order to reset to factory
defaults, but the hyperterminal windows is REALLY SLOW. commands like
"?" return nothing at all.
What am I doing wrong?
In Hyperterminal - I have the setting set to 9600, 8, N, 1
Any help would be appreciated. |

Hello,
you could try different speed settings on Hyperterminal, possibly the
default speed of the PIX console port has been changed.
You also might want to try the latest version of Hyperterminal, you can
download it here:
HyperTerminal Private Edition version 6.3

No luck here...
Managed to get the characters to write a bit faster - but even at the
first screen where it says press esc or break to cancel the flash
loading - when I hit esc / break - nothing happens...
PLEASE HELP! |
