does anyone know of a firewall that is he same as outpost pro, but freeware.

i like the part about checking files on the system for changes.

The freeware version of Outpost is 1.0.1817
This can be downloaded from:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download1056.html

Agnitum Outpost website has stopped downloads (AFAIK) so using a 3rd party
mirror (like above) is available.
