I have just installed Outpost Firewall Free. Is the icon in the tray
supposed to be a question mark?

Yes...it means you have it set in rules wizard mode.It will change if you

set mode to block all or allow all.

By the way..you may want to disable auto update , otherwise it will

update to version 3 trial.

is there another program simular to outpost that is also freeware. the one
for outpost is on longer supported.

Click "help" tab and untick auto check for update...

Depends on you and your setup /surfin habits really...i use rules wizard
