Have been trying to get Net meeting working.

Get message that other party can not accept calls. Have had problem also if
other party tries to contact me.

Any suggestions? Are we dealing with a firewall problem?

Thanks for the help in advance.

How are you/they attempting to make these calls ( direct via IP address --
how and when do you determine the IP address)?

Being behind an improperly configured local software firewall could be the
problem. Users behind NAT routers and border firewalls generally are not
callable(without router configuration) -- are either of you behind routers?

The XP firewall needs configuration to allow incoming NetMeeting calls - are
you running SP2?

Lack of configuration on your side should not prevent you from making an
outgoing call and connecting to the other party though. Is there a firewall
at the other end.

How are you making these calls? Direct to the IP address at the other end?
How and when is the IP address determined?

Yes I am running SP2. Don't know if other end has firewall.

Will try to configure firewall..

Am trying to connect to IP address which is given to me right before I try to
connect Net Meeting.
