Hi,
I am running a looped Powerpoint display over a 2003/XP Pro network. I have
enabled Automatically Accept Calls on the host, but every time a client
calls in, it stops the display until the Netmeeting screen is minimised. Is
there a way round this?

Many thanks,

Adrian

Hi Brian,

The presentation is essentially a "Panic Board" running unattended on the
Host and connected to 4 remote monitors in Public Areas. As the machine
is networked, It seemed logical to use Netmeeting to allow users to "call
in" and view the Board on their desktop as a shared application. It all
works well, except that when a client calls, the Netmeeting screen appears
on the Host monitor and stops the presentation dead. I then minimise the
Netmeeting screen and the presentation resumes. I need clients to connect
without stopping the show.

What is your goal here? Perhaps if you have some other computer other than
the PPT "host" the meeting it will work the way you want?

NetMeeting is not really intended for this type unattended operation. It
does have an unattended mode -- but aimed at a single party remote control
of a desktop.

The only way I can think of to do something like this is to have one
machine that runs the presentation and another that "hosts" the
meeting(using the Call ->host function) and is the "call manager". I think
that should allow the presentation computer not be interrupted.
