Pix Firewall Issue |
|
|
Hello Lists,
I am using Cisco pix 525. I have got problem with PIX firewall 520,
Interfaces ( inside, outside)
continuously "up-down" when I use with large traffic ( about 10Mb), but
It works fine when traffic less then 10 mb
Is any one has anyidea.
Any Suggestion are most welcome !!!

The PIX doesn't do autonegotiation on 100mb ports. Make sure the
ports on the Ethernet switch you are connecting to are sett 100FULL
not AUTO. This will generate a large number of errors and will feel
more noticeable with higher volume.
That would be my first guess. If you SHO INTERFACE on the pix then on
your switch you will likely see input errors, FCS, RUNTs, usually in
closely matching amounts. That's characteristic of mismatched
negotiation settings. |

What does a show interface show? Could be a duplex mis-match...
