Netmeeting with a router

The only IP # I can find is simply my router address. How do I give an IP
address where someone can call me?

The usual way to be called when you are behind a router is to set your
computer as the DMZ client of the router (making sure you are adequately
firewalled by a local software firewall), determine you router's wan IP
address ( this may have to be done every time you want to receive a call --
depending on your ISP it may change little or often), then pass the IP
address to the calling party ( the method is up to you -- email is one
option, you could also post the IP address to a website you control).

The caller would then call you using the IP address you provide.

When you made this post, your public IP address was 68.226.219.69. If
your isp changes your IP address each time you connect, then the
information for your current one should be displayed in your router
configuration information.

Try eMailMyIP. Its a free utility that shows you your public IP and
also can automatically email that information to you or anybody you
specify whenever the IP changes. Its at
