"Automatically"? I am not sure what you are asking here.

To setup unattended remote control requires that the user "Enable" RDS (via
the NetMeeting menu item), then "Activate" RDS by right clicking on the RDS
icon in the system tray (the icon is created on "Enabling"). The user would
have to provide you with a login name and password and the IP address of
their machine. You would then make a secure call to the IP address, using
the credentials they provided to login.

In a attended call, the user must initiate via the "Sharing" function,
allowing control.

Is there a programatic way for an application to initiate an attended
or unattended call?

I am not sure I understand.

If you are asking can you from the caller have a program that will initiate
a call to another computer -- yes there are a number of ways -- you could
use the NetMeeting SDK for a C based program, you could use a callto: url,
you could initiate via a command line call or you could use the activex in
a web page controlled by Javascript.

But that would be from your end, calling another user (or the other end
calling you). The user being called would have to already have his/her end
set up to receive the call.
