Hi

We have a lot of baystack 425's here on hardware revision 05, they all
function very well. Today I received 3 with hardware revision 06 and they
all had a dis-functioning port 26. I tried the latest firmware revisions
from the nortel site but nothing could help me. Is there anyone here that
has seen the same problem before?

Just a thought ( you may have tried this already) but when the switch is
enabled for stacking port 26 is disabled, even if it's not physically
connected to a stack. If you issue a show stacking-mode command from the
CLI interface is it set to standalone or stackable?

This was indeed the problem. After checking with colleges we found that
teh default setting has changed with Switches that come preinstalled with
Firmware 3.5.
