Remote Desktop sharing not working in Net Meeting |
|
|
Hi,
I am trying to Activate Remote Desktop sharing on my PC at
work. But Whenever I do that it creates a error log
"mnmsrvc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows"
I am using Windows 2000 professional SP4.
Any help will be appreciated. |

You try to activate RDS by right clicking on the icon in the system tray and
selecting "Activate"?

You could try a "deinstall/reinstall".
First remove the RDS icon from the system tray. Do this by starting
NetMeeting, going to the tools -> options general tab, selecting "Run
Netmeeting in the background...", answering yes to the pop up boxes, then
unselecting.
Then follow the procedure at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q267958. This
doesn't remove or overwrite the NetMeeting install files ( as they are
protected by the system) but will reinitialize the registry to initial
state.

Thanks for the reply.I still get error.Everything works
fine apart from Remote Desktop sharing.Any ideas.I also
performed Remove and Reinstall Net Meeting.
I did right click on Icon on desktop and it did not work.
I even went to Services and manually started service,it
still returns the error
"mnmsrvc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
windows"
Thanks
