Is it true that LiveMeeting is intended to eventually replace NetMeeting?

The current company line at Microsoft is that LiveMeeting ( a per minute pay
service based on Placeware a company/product that Microsoft purchased) and
Windows/Msn Messenger are the "replacements" for NetMeeting.

That does not mean that either or both provide all the functionality of
NetMeeting though.
