PRI ISDN Inbound channel routing |
|
|
What I'm trying to figure out is: on an ISDN VRU, how does the system
route inbound calls to channels?
Specs:
---
Dialogic D240SC-T1
5ESS 8BZS ESF
---
I have the system configured and am able to make outbound and inbound
calls, however when using the supplied GlobalCall inbound demo app, I
have to map all 23 B-channels as available for inbound in order to be
able to make inbound calls (in the configuration file gcin.cfg). It
seems as though the system *randomly* picks a channel to which to
forward the inbound call, and if the channel is not in WaitCall state,
then it obviously doesn't work.
Since I may want to use some of the channels for outbound and some for
inbound, how can I configure the system to only route inbound calls to
desired channels? |

You can't. The allocation of channels is controlled by the switch,
not the edge device.
If you really want to reserve some channels as outbound-only, you'll
need to have that configured into the switch.
