Hi gang,

we have a few BOT's setup up over DSL circuits using PPPoE.
They are defined as peer to peer connections and we have devices hanging off
of the 221's that we telnet to, to download information. The problem I am
having is that the tunnels will drop after approx a week and not come back.
When I show up at the far end (Contivity 221) and plug in my laptop the BOT
wakes up. I was assuming that the peer to peer meant that either side could
initiate the request and have the tunnel active but this does not seem to be
that case.

Anyone else running this sort of BOT with any sort of success? Am I missing
something in the config to keep this alive?

Thanks in advance,

John Mitchell

I have the same problem with the 221 bots with Nortel phone and winterminal hanging off it. I have a 1750 contivity at my office that remote people connect to. The VPN connection drops for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Have you found any clues?
