Remote Desktop Sharing (NT4 SP6a) fails with 4.4.3399 update |
|
|
After updating NetMeeting on NT4 SP6a following Security Bulletin MS04-011,
the NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing service fails to start, with Services
popping up an error dialog if a manual start is attempted indicating:
"Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occurred."
This error does not get written to the system or application log. The
service was starting without problems before the update. |

I haven't seen any report like this before.
All I can suggest is to uninstall NM, reinstall and try again.
