Dear friends,

We are using netmeeting to remote support our customers. We are using
internet fixed ip address and NAT so they connect to them and then we
ask to share their dektop. We think this solution is easier for the
end customer as usually netmeeting is installed in windows operating
systems.

The problem is that we need a lot of fixed ip addresses as we have a
lot of people in the support team and we do not think this is a good
solution, or at least there must be a better one.

As netmeeting cannot be configured to use different ports, we have to
use different ip addreses and redirect netmeeting to our lan based on
these ip request.

Do you know if there is a better way to continue using netmeeting and
not having to use so many fixed ip addresses ?

I would be very grateful if you could give me any clue..

Thanks in advance.

Al

I can't think of any strategy other than what you are doing (multiple IP
addresses).

If you can reverse connection process - your CSR's will call customer
computers, no fixed IP's will be needed.

Dear friends,

Thank you for your answer. Do you know how can I reverse that
connection
process ? I have heard that somebody has done something similar using
ISA Server and protocol T120 but I have no idea of how to configure it
in order to reverse connections. Does anybody has a clue ?

Thanks in advance.
