NetMeeting and Multiple LAN Clients |
|
|
I've got a Linksys 801.11g wireless router. I've got all the ports open for NetMeeting and the ports forwarded to a LAN client--this works fine; however, I'd like to remotely connect to multiple clients. Is there a way I can connect to more than one client over the Internet on the LAN?
Thanks,
Todd |

You could get multiple incoming audio/video calls by using a gatekeeper (
which would require a separate server). You could get multiple outgoing data
calls with no further effort. If you want full function ( outgoing and
incoming audio/video/data calls) -- I'm not sure that is possible (at least
I can't think of a way). |

Brian,
I'm trying to get multiple remote desktop sessions to a number of clients on
the LAN.
Best regards,
Todd

If that is your goal I would suggest you use some other remote control
product that allows the port used to be modified ( VNC is such a product --
commercial products such as PC Anywhere also I think can do this).
The only way you could do it with NetMeeting is have separate public ips for
each to be controlled client and have a router that could manage multiple
outside IPs and forward them individually inside).

Brian,
I'll use NetMeeting to access a specific client, then use Remote Desktop
Connection (using the LAN IPs) to access the other clients through the
remote computer--it's a little slower, but it works.
Thanks,
Todd
