Hi all

I'm unable to find much information on setting up a small corporate
netmeeting server.

Does anyone have any information on this?

Is it just a matter of installing Site Server and configuring it?

Thank you, Jack

You mean an ILS server?

Site Server is not required -- an ILS server is included with all Win2000
servers -- using that ILS server is probably the easiest way ( search the
server help for info on configuring and installing).

Isn't ILS includign with Site Server? Or is there some other way to setup a
corporate netmeeting server?

Thank you for your help. Jack

Well a NetMeeting "server" could be an ILS server for call initiation or it
could be an MCU for handling multiparty audio/video.

It would be important to know which as the requirements, cost and
functionality are very different.

I am not sure what you mean by "Site Server". Are you referring to the NT4
based product I believe a version of ILS was shipped as part of the
product( is it still a supported product?). There was also a downloadable
version of ILS server for standard NT 4 servers.

If "Site Server" is a Win2000 based server the ILS is included by virtue of
it being a Win2000 server

There have been a number of commercial and open source LDAP servers running
on Windows and Linux/Unix that have fulfilled the ILS function,

thanks for the reply. Well, my company wants to use MS Netmeeting. And they
want to set up their OWN MS Netmeeting server.

Is that possible?

The requirements are simply really: they need a place where they cab all
meet and discuss via audio and video (desktop bound). No more than 15 users
at a time.

Is there any such thing as a MS Netmeeting server? to accomplish this?

Thank you, Jack
