log off |

I have Windows XP Pro. When I log on to a directory, I stay loged on for
about 5 minutes. Afterwards, I have to log off and log on again just to keep
me visible in the directory. Otherwise, although I seem to be on line, my
name is not visible. Does anyone knows what am I doing wrong?

This happens with every directory? I believe this can happen if a router is
blocking ICMP packets between you and the directory site.
Can you ping the site(s) in question?

Something between you and them is preventing the ping( I get a similar
result from my end) and is likely the cause of your problem.
I suggest you contact the operators to determine the reasons,
