Incoming call |

MY NM doesn´t detect any incoming call. No sign. Any
comments?
Is it possible to record a meeting? How to do it? |

Possiblities that I can think of:
1) you are behind a NAT ( router, firewall, dsl modem) and cannot be called
2) the caller is not using the correct Ip to call
3) you are running a local software firewall not configured for incoming
NetMeeting calls

There is no NetMeeting mechanism to record any part of the call. I have not
heard of any NetMeeting only mechanism that can record a "meeting", Various
MCUs have recording mechanisms that allow recording of parts of meetings (
usu\ally the audio/video part of the call) so if your call were MCU based
and you were using a MCU with that feature it would be possible.
There are also various third party products that would allow you to record
locally the incoming audio/video or both -- if that is what you want.

Thanks! I think, it is my local software firewall.
You wrote that, "There are also various third party
products that would allow you to record" Wich product you
will recommend and how do they work together with a
Netmeeting?
Thanks

Recording of incoming video is usually done via a screen capture program
like SnagIT, Camtasia or the like. ( I think the NetMeeting Toolbox -
http://www.nmtoolbox.com/ has a feature that lets you record outgoing and
incoming)
Audio recording was available via a program called Voiplog ( but searching
for the website gets you something called "Red Box" computers - so I am not
sure of the state of that product.
I don't use or specifically recommend any of these products so I can't
provide much guidance on use.
