Is this a problem ?

Can I still use NetMeeting ? How do I connect with another user ?

Sorry to be so basic - but I can't seem to find this info in the

The Microsoft Internet Directory has been off line for a year ( and provided
no service for at least 3 years before that ) -- so other than the message
( that you can get rid of by unchecking the automatic login on startup
checkbox) it is not a problem.

Yes.

http://www.meetingbywire.com/NetMeeting101.htm might be a place to start
gathering information.

There are three basic strategies:

1) call directly using the other party's IP address
2) call using an ILS server ( assuming you agree on which one to use -
http://www.netmeetinghq.com has a list of 3rd party servers)
3) Use an Instant Messenger ( Msn/Windows Messenger, AOL IM, ICQ) to
initiate the call.
