Hello,

I use a gatekeeper gnugk on debian
(http://www.gnugk.org/h323manual.html). This allows to connect NM
between internet customers and us.
2 networks adapter cards allow the routing, the proxy is on, the mode
is routed.

Customers can do everithing with us (audio/video/desktop sharing,
file tranfer).
But we, we can not share the desktop or send a file, the transfer (or
the desktop sharing) aborts few seconds (between 1 and 3) after and
afterwhile, T120 is unworkable since we hang up and place a new call.

Maybe it is a bandwith problem, a bug but it is very hard to solve
this problem.

Thank's if you have any idea.

This problem happens regardless of who placed the call? It is somewhat
suprising that you can connect in the data portion of the call at all.

The gatekeeper afaik handles H.323 connections only (does it claim to handle
T.120 as well?) so the fact that you can get any T.120 function at all may
just be serendipity ( though perhaps with some thinking could be
rationalized)

I don't think it could be bandwidth related.

Hi,

Thank's to your reply.

There is a parameter called :
T120PortRange=40000-40999

Then this gatekeeper is able to connect and rout both H323 and T120.

No matter who initiates the call, the problem is the same.

I am not sure what that means -- typically T.120 uses tcp 1503

If you haven't already, you might try:

news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.telephony.openh323gk.user

which is a newsgroup specifically for openGK support. Lots of users seem to
be there and there seems to be lots of information.

The problem is identified in the log :
we see that ProxyThread.cxx(193) blocks the datas.
But there is no firewall and 1503 is open, and it seems in the source
file ProxyThread.cxx that forward is not allowed.
Any idea to solve the problem ?

I have no idea but I do not use gnugk.

The gnugk specific forum I mentioned though has lots of users and knowledge.
