no video from me.... |

Hi...
Using net meeting to have a video chat to others, I can see them no worries
via their web cam, but they cant see me from my web cam!!! the web cam is
set right, in fact before anything I start the video and I can see that my
web cam works fine. so why cant they see me????
the fact that I cant log onto any ils servers does this have anything to do
with it?

Maybe you have fire wall!
Try to connect on internet directly with PSTN modem.

What operating system are you on?
Do they receive audio from you?
Are you sure the problem is at your end? Is the other end behind a router or
firewall?

Hey Brian, thanks for looking at my problem...
ok I am using winXP with zonealarm pro version 4.5.538.000 and the net
meeting server that I guess is the default that it is trying to log onto is
Microsoft internet directory.
I have tried with many people and they cant see me but I can see them no
worries.
and the audio side of it, no they can not hear me, so before I re-formatted
this hard drive of mine everything was working fine now the damn thing just
will not.

The Microsoft Internet Directory is no longer in operation ( in fact has not
functioned as a directory since Dec 1999).

Some users ( speculation is that it is related to Intel nic cards) have
problems with the QoS Packet Scheduler that seem to cause symptoms similar
to yours -- disabling seems to make the problem go away with no ill effects.

I have the same problem as you ( no one can see my vid or recieve
audio yet i can see and hear them )
In my case i am using an ATI all in wonder radon 7500 video card
and have discovered that it does not support the h323 protocol ,
nor is there any plans to update thier drivers to support it:
so i am screwed ( unless someone can adcise me as to a
workaround
I wonder if this can also be the root cause of your
problems.......i suggest you check with the card manufacturer
and verift that the h323 protocal is supported.

Hello Gary!
Have you checked the "Send" menu item on "Tools" menu?
"Tools" menu
"Video" sub menu
"Send" sub menu [MUST be CHECKED]
